There are broadly two kinds of professionals available in the market: those who are good, and those who are appropriate.
A resume or CV can tell you a great deal about how good a person is. It reflects qualifications, experience, achievements, and career progression. However, it rarely reveals whether that individual is the most appropriate person for a specific situation, challenge, or leadership mandate.
